Rachel J. Moore, a shareholder, practices in the firm’s Litigation Group. A magna cum laude graduate of the University of Alabama, Ms. Moore received her law degree, magna cum laude, from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University. While in law school, she was a member of the Cumberland Law Review and she was also a Cordell Hull Teaching Fellow.
After graduation, Ms, Moore was selected for membership in Curia Honoris. She is admitted to the Alabama State Bar, the United States District Court for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Alabama, and the United States Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit. She is a member of the American Bar Association (Labor and Employment Law and Litigation sections), the Birmingham Bar Association (Women’s and Young Lawyers’ sections).
Ms. Moore is involved in a variety of civic activities. She is a trustee at First United Methodist Church Trussville and is member and ambassador to the Trussville Area Chamber of Commerce. Also, Ms. Moore is third vice president of the Board of Trustees of the Birmingham Children’s Theatre, serves as second vice president of the Eastern Women’s Junior Committee, and is a member of the the Greater Birmingham Homebuilder’s Association. She enjoys reading, swimming, and sewing. She and her husband, Andrew, have two children, Sara Kayla and William Blakely.
