Marty Franklin, a shareholder, practices in the firm’s Insolvency and Restructuring Group. He received his under-graduate degree with honors from the University of Alabama. He also received from the University of Alabama his J.D. and LL.M. in Taxation. He was selected for membership in Phi Kappa Phi, Phi Alpha Theta, Alpha Lambda Delta and Phi Alpha Delta, for which he served as an officer.
Mr. Franklin also served as an associate editor for The Journal of Legal Profession. He was law clerk to United States Bankruptcy Judge George S. Wright, Northern District of Alabama. He is a member of the Alabama State Bar, the American Bar Association, and the American Bankruptcy Institute and is certified in Consumer Bankruptcy Law by the American Board of Certification.
Mr. Franklin enjoys traveling, hiking and fishing. He and his wife, Kathy, have two children, Marty and Michael.
